About the position

The Systems Network Engineer L2 position at Galapagos Federal Systems LLC involves providing system management support with a focus on the design, specification, integration, and implementation of enterprise-wide management architecture. The role requires working on complex distributed networks integrated with DoD C2 systems, ensuring compliance with information assurance processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide system management support for enterprise-wide management architecture.
• Design, specify, integrate, and implement complex distributed networks.
• Support the integration of DoD C2 systems with associated information assurance processes.
• Manage network devices including switches and routers.
• Oversee server operating systems and virtualization infrastructure.
• Monitor server applications and VoIP telephony systems.
• Utilize SolarWinds for network and server management.
• Implement DHCP/DNS/IPAM solutions and manage Palo Alto firewalls.
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and manage security compliance systems.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience supporting a DOD program.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater certification.
• Certifications such as CCNA+Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, or SSCP.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with VMware/Nutanix virtualization infrastructure.
• Knowledge of server disaster recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Log Management and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
