About the position

As a Systems/Network Engineer specializing in Performance Management, you will play a critical role in addressing enterprise-wide network, cloud, application, and server capacity and performance issues for our clients. This position requires a blend of engineering expertise and business acumen to deliver effective IT performance management solutions. You will leverage our Client's product suite to plan, design, deploy, operate, manage, and optimize IT infrastructures, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of our clients. In this role, you will serve as an expert in cloud migration, WAN optimization, networking, and application performance. You will utilize Riverbed's complete Application Performance portfolio to provide specialized planning and design expertise in areas such as data center consolidation, data migration, network configuration, and application performance troubleshooting. Your ability to analyze and understand the IT organization, requirements, and processes of our customers will be essential in achieving full adoption and utilization of our solutions, maximizing ROI and business value. You will be responsible for presenting and articulating advanced product features and benefits, producing tailored solutions to meet customer needs within budget and schedule constraints. Collaboration is key, as you will work directly with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals and ensure successful implementation of our solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Solve clients' enterprise-wide network, cloud, application, and server capacity and performance issues.
  • Utilize Client's technologies to plan, design, deploy, operate, manage, and optimize IT infrastructures.
  • Serve as an expert in cloud migration, WAN optimization, networking, and application performance.
  • Provide specialized planning and design expertise in data center consolidation and data migration.
  • Analyze and understand customers' IT organization, requirements, and processes to maximize ROI and business value.
  • Present and articulate advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions.
  • Produce solutions to fulfill customer needs within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Work directly with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Minimum security clearance of TS/SCI and FSP eligible.
  • Strong systems administration skills, particularly in Linux and cloud environments.
  • Solid experience in providing support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for infrastructure systems.
  • Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP), protocols, components, and operations; multi-tier application architectures.
  • Knowledge of web application architecture and software, including Web Servers (Apache, IIS), J2EE Application Servers (Websphere, Weblogic), Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), and/or Operating Systems (UNIX, Windows).
  • Installation and configuration experience with ESX, VMFS, storage sub-systems, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
  • Experience with protocol analyzers, WireShark, NetFlow, and/or packet analysis.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages (ruby, perl, RESTful APIs).
