About the position

The Trading Production Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of software applications and systems within a financial services environment. This role involves monitoring batch jobs, applications, and business processes, as well as providing support to the equity trade floor and related teams. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical and business knowledge, particularly in portfolio management and trading life cycles, to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides intermediate support of applications and databases for software.
• Coordinates and executes technical procedures to resolve production issues after evaluation.
• Monitors production systems for alerts, outages, and system issues.
• Researches issues and performs root cause analysis to minimize risk.
• Implements solutions for issues and appropriate development initiatives.
• Ensures that support requests are resolved within the service level agreements.
• Communicates statuses and resolutions.
• Writes and updates production support documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations.
• Assists in implementing changes.
• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with business partners.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years related work experience, with at least one year of Information Technology experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred.
• Support in a production trading environment.
• Linux and Windows experience.
• Ability to write and understand SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the CRD order management system is a plus.
• Understanding of the portfolio management and investment process/lifecycle is good to have.
