About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Container-as-a-Service operations team within the Chief Technology Office. This role involves managing a team to oversee operations metrics, improve practices, and manage platform support and roadmap activities. The Operations Manager will be responsible for incident resolution, collaboration with product managers, and ensuring production stability across managed platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of operations managers/leads and experienced operations engineers.
  • Manage and resolve multiple incidents by identifying troubleshooting techniques and facilitating communication with multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with OpenShift Container Platform Product Managers/Engineers to drive user satisfaction and influence operations requirements.
  • Manage platform support and maintenance activities, including certificates, patches, and system reviews.
  • Improve CI/CD practices and observability dashboards for platform delivery.
  • Ensure production stability and manage change and problem management tasks according to defined guidelines.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
  • Allocate people and financial resources to meet commitments and align with strategic objectives.
  • Hire and develop talent to support Private cloud platforms and conduct performance management for operations engineers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience.
  • 4+ years of Platform Operations/Service Management technology experience, including incident and change management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years management experience.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform, VMWare, Microsoft Solutions, TKGI.
  • Experience managing enterprise cloud or non-cloud platforms, including upgrades and migrations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on abilities on modern platforms like CaaS/PaaS.
  • Strong technical and operations background supporting enterprise platforms.
  • Experience improving operations practices by collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience managing platform vendors for support and security.
  • Ability to meet SLA and SLOs of Operations metrics.
