The Systems Project Analyst at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) plays a crucial role in managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for creating, deploying, and managing software packages, scripts, Compliance Policies, and Configuration Profiles using Microsoft Intune and Tanium. The analyst will oversee security updates for endpoint devices, ensuring compliance with antivirus and encryption standards. This includes troubleshooting issues in Intune and collaborating with Microsoft to resolve any technical problems that arise. The role requires a rapid response to potential security threats on endpoint devices, necessitating a proactive approach to IT security and compliance. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Systems Project Analyst will document new processes and procedures, assist users with Microsoft 365 applications through the Helpdesk Call Center, and maintain a training program for new technicians. The position also involves supporting FWC Commission Meetings, deploying laptops for the Law Enforcement Academy, and performing various IT duties as assigned. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, as the analyst will need to resolve unique issues and improve processes by building automated solutions where possible. The analyst will provide technical assistance to users, answering questions and resolving computer problems in person, via telephone, or remotely. They will test and monitor software, hardware, and peripheral equipment to evaluate their effectiveness and suitability for users. The role may also involve leading the planning, testing, and implementation of major projects under management supervision. The analyst will read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct diagnostics to determine the nature of problems, working directly with hardware and software manufacturers to resolve significant issues.
