The Systems Project Engineer at TowHaul is responsible for the design and development of hydraulic and hydro-electric systems for the company's products. This role involves creating innovative solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of TowHaul's equipment used in the mineral extraction industry. The engineer will design various systems including air/hydraulic and electric/hydraulic braking systems, brake cooling systems, and electrical systems that control these functionalities. Additionally, the engineer will be tasked with programming controls for these systems and developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for user interaction. The position requires a strong focus on documentation, as the engineer will need to document control and screen programs, conduct board tests, and perform both bench and field tests to ensure system functionality. Proficiency in solid modeling software, particularly SolidWorks, is essential for locating system components within structural models and determining the routing of wiring, hoses, and tubes. The engineer will also be responsible for developing production drawings, parts manuals, and bills of materials, as well as providing troubleshooting support to service technicians and customers. In addition to technical skills, the role demands excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to TowHaul's culture of innovation. The engineer will work closely with sales teams to estimate system component requirements and monitor remote data to assess system performance.
