About the position

The Systems Software Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications or systems programs. Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains applications or systems programs.
• Gathers and provides input on functional specifications and requirements.
• Supports business user questions/issues regarding applications and/or systems issues and availability.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation.
• Performs other related technical support for the department or college.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
• 1-3 years of Systems/Software Engineering Experience.
• 1-3 years of Systems Programming Experience.
• 1-3 years of Operating System Administration Experience.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
