About the position

Airbus Robotics is seeking a Systems Technician to join their Engineering team in Mukilteo, WA. This role involves building complex assemblies, operating production equipment, conducting tests, troubleshooting electromechanical issues, and ensuring high-quality standards in product assembly. Responsibilities

  • Mechanically and electrically build complex assemblies with high accuracy and quality.
  • Set up and operate production equipment according to manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on assemblies.
  • Perform system setups and application programming on specialized platforms in automation and robotics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical issues related to maintenance using tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Execute first article inspections for machined and non-machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure products are built to specification and quality standards.
  • Generate quality reports, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Operational Reports (ORs) as necessary.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Robotics or Industrial Automation.
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Windows 7/10, and Linux embedded products.
  • Knowledge of embedded system development, including circuit board testing and troubleshooting, and commercial microprocessor platforms.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ and optionally .NET C# for developing and debugging software routines.
  • Strong skills in motor tuning procedures, especially for DC brushless servos.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hand tools, drill press, lathe, sanders, and bandsaws.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety and security procedures.
