About the position

The Systems Test Engineer at ANSER plays a crucial role in enhancing national and homeland security by leading testing teams that perform application, system, and integration testing across various geospatial intelligence systems. This position focuses on ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of GEOINT through rigorous testing methodologies and collaboration with junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Guide junior-level system engineers in performing test and evaluation across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies.
• Perform testing of applications and application programming interfaces (APIs) in DevOps pipelines utilizing established quality assurance measures.
• Conduct independent integration testing on system software or hardware to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
• Plan and execute manual tests and automated test scripts using various scripting and programming languages.
• Support technical investigations for defects discovered during test activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent experience as a Test Systems Engineer.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with three or more of the following: JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab, Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, Javascript, AWS, and C2S.
• Experience with traditional, Agile, and DevOps development practices and associated testing strategies.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
• Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
• Working knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
