About the position

The Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of both in-house developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) components. This role requires synthesizing customer needs into system test solutions while adhering to technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The engineer will coordinate testing activities, analyze test results, and prepare evaluation reports to ensure system performance meets specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integration and testing of components and systems.
  • Synthesizes customer contractual needs into system test solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solving hardware/software interface problems.
  • Defines input/output parameters and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability, developing comprehensive test plans and procedures.
  • Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.
  • Performs analysis of test results and prepares evaluation reports to verify and validate system performance.
  • Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate fixes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with various departments to ensure overall program success.
  • Ability to oversee suppliers performing integration and testing activities.
  • Experience with missile systems including launch systems and targeting/fire control elements is preferred.
  • Technical skills in requirements development, risk identification and management, system design and test, modeling and simulation, HWIL, and test anomaly resolution.

  • Experience with government fuse boards
  • Prior CAM experience
