About the position

The Systems Test Manager at Lockheed Martin Space is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM). This position involves managing missile system level ground tests and evaluations, ensuring the missile system remains qualified, and leading a team in the development and coordination of testing activities. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and program management skills to ensure mission success and maintain strong partnerships with the Navy customer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee missile system ground tests including integrated electrical, mechanical, and electromagnetic environmental effects.
• Manage missile mock-up and missile integration development lab (MIL) for system-level testing.
• Ensure missile system remains in a qualified status through requalification assessments.
• Lead evaluations programs including Service Life Evaluation (SLE), Production Assessment Test (PAT), and Destruct System Evaluation Program (DSEP).
• Plan and generate Basis-Of-Estimate (BOE) for FBM Program/Project proposals.
• Manage employee performance and evaluations.

Requirements

• Project lead experience including planning, proposals, budgets, and schedules.
• Test and test evaluation and integration experience.
• Secret clearance at start and ability to obtain a TOP-SECRET clearance.
• US Citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and social skills.
• Experience in a leadership position with formal roles and responsibilities.
• Experience generating Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support.
• Knowledgeable in missile technologies and systems/sub-system architecture.
• Experience with Navy SSP customer and associated contractors.
• Existing Top Secret Clearance.
