About the position

As the Systems & Warehouse Manager - Inventory at Niagara Bottling LLC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the warehouse operations, with a strong emphasis on the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Your primary responsibility will be to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the functionality of the WMS, ensuring it aligns with the organization's supply chain strategy. You will be tasked with planning, directing, and monitoring all activities within the warehouse, which includes training, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and safety protocols. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for understanding the WMS database structure and performing advanced configurations to optimize its performance. You will lead company initiatives aimed at improving WMS functionality and will serve as the site lead for systems implementations and modifications. Your leadership will be crucial in building and maintaining a safe work culture, coordinating technical support for site or network operations, and managing all aspects of inventory. You will also be expected to manage labor scheduling to meet operational demands and goals, oversee shipping and receiving discrepancies, and establish operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Collaboration with department heads will be essential to ensure that warehouse activities are well-coordinated with production, sales, records control, and purchasing functions. Additionally, you will manage month-end inventory and cycle counts to ensure timely reconciliation of physical inventories, while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment. Regular attendance and participation in safety and plant protection activities will be integral to your role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and its functionality.
  • Perform advanced configuration of the WMS to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to improve WMS functionality and support the organization's supply chain strategy.
  • Manage all aspects of warehouse operations including training, shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety.
  • Build and maintain a safe work culture within the warehouse.
  • Coordinate technical support for site or network operations and systems.
  • Serve as the site lead for systems implementations and modifications.
  • Manage and schedule labor appropriately to meet operational demands and goals.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving discrepancies and return merchandise authorizations (RMA's).
  • Train forklift operators and administer road tests and certification.
  • Establish operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and handling materials.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions.
  • Direct salvage of damaged or unused material and manage month-end inventory and cycle counts.
  • Ensure maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the warehouse or logistics field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing IT systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience managing a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • 10+ years of experience in the warehouse or logistics field.
  • 6 years of experience managing people/projects.
