About the position

As a Senior Product Design Engineer at Schaeffler, you will play a crucial role in the development of electric motor mechanical systems. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct mechanical design engineering activities that are essential for creating competitive products in the automotive and industrial sectors. You will be tasked with developing the structure of the electric motor mechanical system, taking into account the architecture and implementing measures derived from risk analysis during the construction phase. This involves breaking down electric motor structures into subsystems and components, and creating detailed product specifications that guide the development process. In addition to design responsibilities, you will evaluate existing electric motor subsystems and components to determine their reusability, thereby optimizing the design process. You will also be responsible for developing alternative structures and selecting the most suitable option based on performance and feasibility. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring double-sided traceability with the electric motor mechanical architecture, which includes managing work results under a configuration management system that encompasses material designation, versioning, and storage location. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that impact the future of mobility. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and have access to various development opportunities within a global technology company that values creativity and innovation.
