About the position

The Tableau Analyst is a full-time, entry-level position at Neiman Marcus, focused on leveraging data to enhance customer service. This role involves providing insights to merchant partners to improve decision-making through data visualization, primarily using Tableau. The analyst will also assist in ad hoc analyses to support senior leaders and act as a liaison to help the merchant population effectively utilize Tableau and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bringing data to life through visualization from Tableau
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand needs and develop, test, and deploy new visualizations that assist in better merchandising decision making
• Responsible for updating, refining, and maintaining existing Tableau views along with ad hoc data analysis
• Communicate with buying offices on discrepancies
• Establish requirements for new visualizations or enhancements to existing templates based on user needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• Previous experience in retail, service, or other fast-paced environments
• Must be analytical, articulate, and organized
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must work confidently in teams
• Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office properties
• Must have a firm understanding of SQL, Excel, Tableau, and DB visualizer
• Strong follow up and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed
