About the position

The Tableau Business Intelligence/Crystal Report Developer will be responsible for designing and developing interactive Tableau dashboards and Crystal Reports to meet business requirements. This role involves preparing data for Tableau, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency across reports. The position requires a strong understanding of data structures and reporting principles, as well as experience in managing report development projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare data for Tableau by establishing connections to data sources and developing SQL Database Views and Stored Procedures.
• Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance and troubleshoot data or performance issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for communication and coordination with stakeholders regarding Tableau dashboards.
• Create, design, and develop Crystal Reports based on business requirements and data sources.
• Gather and analyze reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective Crystal report designs.
• Optimize current report performance by troubleshooting issues and enhancing report efficiency.
• Extract, manipulate, and manage data from various sources for accurate Crystal report outputs.
• Document Crystal report designs and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with FMIS and data stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency across reports.
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and Tableau implementation.
• Work through iterative data review cycles to deliver results that meet user expectations for Tableau data presentation best practices.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in developing and working with Tableau dashboards and analytics.
• Proven experience in querying and displaying large data sets while maximizing Tableau workbook performance.
• Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture and advanced Tableau development skills.
• Experience with controlling access from Active Directory within a Tableau environment/application.
• 2-3 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining Crystal Reports with a strong understanding of data structures.
• Expertise in SAP Crystal Reports for creating complex reports and proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
• Experience in executing Crystal reports from DB Stored Procedures, Views, and Cross Database complex joins.
• Knowledge of data integration tools and database management systems related to Crystal Reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP Crystal Reports certification or similar credentials.
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or other visualization applications.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
