About the position

The Tableau Business Intelligence/Crystal Reports Developer will be responsible for designing and developing interactive Tableau dashboards and Crystal Reports that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. This role involves preparing data for Tableau, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity across reports. The developer will collaborate with various teams to align reporting solutions with business intelligence strategies and will act as the primary point of contact for communication regarding Tableau dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Prepare data for Tableau, including establishing connections to data sources.
• Work with internal FMIS team members to develop SQL Database Views and Stored Procedures.
• Optimize current and created Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance.
• Troubleshoot data or performance issues with workbooks and data sources.
• Act as the primary point of contact for communication with stakeholders regarding Tableau dashboards.
• Create, design, and develop Crystal Reports based on business requirements.
• Gather and analyze reporting requirements from stakeholders for Crystal Reports.
• Optimize current report performance by troubleshooting issues and enhancing report efficiency.
• Extract, manipulate, and manage data from various sources for accurate Crystal report outputs.
• Document Crystal report designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Analyze and recommend updates to existing Crystal Reports as business needs change.
• Collaborate with FMIS and data stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency across reports.
• Work on process automation and standardization to feed Tableau data sources.
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and Tableau implementation.
• Determine the best Tableau implementation to meet design requirements.
• Work through iterative data review cycles to deliver results that meet user expectations.
• Ensure consistency by adhering to software coding and Tableau style guides.
• Resolve support incidents related to Tableau reports and dashboards.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in developing and working with Tableau dashboards and analytics.
• Experience in querying and displaying large data sets while maximizing Tableau workbook performance.
• Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
• Advanced Tableau development skills required.
• Experience with controlling access from Active Directory within a Tableau environment/application.
• 2-3 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining Crystal Reports.
• Strong understanding of data structures and reporting principles.
• Expertise in SAP Crystal Reports for creating complex and detailed reports.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and manipulating data for report execution.
• Experience in executing Crystal reports from DB Stored Procedures, Views, and Cross Database complex joins.
• Experience with data integration tools and database management systems related to Crystal Reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP Crystal Reports certification or similar credentials.
• Knowledge and experience working with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization applications.
• Experience in managing report development projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
