About the position

SHINE Systems is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing report and dashboard developer to support an Intelligence Community program. This role involves joining a dedicated team of professionals focused on data warehousing, business intelligence, and reporting. The Developer will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business reporting and data requirements, ensuring that the needs of process owners and executive leadership are met through the design of highly professional reports and dashboards. The position requires the development of ad-hoc queries and reports based on customer requirements, utilizing complex, custom-built SQL queries for analytical reporting. The Developer will also be tasked with validating data, troubleshooting discrepancies, and testing report and dashboard functionality. This includes creating test data and table structures through SQL, as well as performance tuning SQL statements executed by reports and dashboards as necessary. Timely on-site customer support for users is also a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that all stakeholders have the assistance they need to effectively utilize the reporting tools. In this fast-paced environment, the Developer will need to demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to document processes as required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the Intelligence Community, leveraging advanced data analysis and reporting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business reporting and data requirements.
• Design highly professional reports, dashboards, and visual representations of business and warehouse data for process owners and executive leadership.
• Develop ad-hoc queries and reports based on requirements gathered from customers utilizing complex, custom-built SQL queries for analytical reporting.
• Validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies in data.
• Test and troubleshoot report and dashboard functionality, validate data, and create test data and table structures through SQL.
• Performance tune SQL statements executed by reports and dashboards as required.
• Provide timely on-site customer support for users.

Requirements

• BA/BS with 8 years' experience.
• Current minimum Top Secret Clearance with the ability to get an SCI security clearance with CI polygraph.
• Education/degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting).
• Experience using one or more enterprise business intelligence tools (e.g. IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Oracle BIEE).
• Significant PL/SQL experience.
• Significant understanding of relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to document processes as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau preferred.
• Experience with ETL tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal acquisition processes a plus.
