About the position

As a Tableau Data Analyst at Comcast, you will play a crucial role in collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting data related to Engineering Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to produce complex, high-priority recurring and ad-hoc reports that measure progress towards goals, assess performance against objectives, and identify opportunities for improvement. You will consult directly with both internal and external customers, leveraging your in-depth experience and knowledge in data analysis to determine work priorities and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. The Technology, Product, Experience (TPX) organization, where you will be situated, operates at the intersection of media and technology. This innovative team is dedicated to developing and delivering products and next-generation technologies that enhance the customer experience. Within this framework, the Business Network Operations Center (BNOC) team supports Comcast's Enterprise Business customers, ensuring that their needs are met, particularly in terms of break/fix issues and contractual reporting requirements. In this role, you will determine the relevancy of data and identify alternative data sources to ensure that analytics requested by business owners and technical associates can be completed effectively. You will analyze large, complex datasets to derive actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools, with a strong emphasis on SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau. Your ability to create new custom reports and modify existing ones will be essential, as will your proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. You will also be responsible for conducting research on the root causes of data anomalies, writing complex SQL queries to extract data from large platforms such as Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, and Hadoop, and combining data from disparate sources to complete your analyses. Following best practices in business intelligence data analysis, you will design and develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders. Your work will involve producing a variety of reports, graphs, summaries, and presentations that align with business needs, identifying trends or patterns in complex data sets to guide business decisions, and conducting ad-hoc analyses as requested by stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be critical to your success in this role.
