About the position
The Tableau Developer position involves creating and managing Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The role requires a strong understanding of Tableau functionalities, programming languages, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications. This position is essential for optimizing data visualization and performance while ensuring effective communication across various levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics.
- Query and display large data sets while maximizing workbook performance.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights.
- Manage Tableau server and ensure proper architecture and administration.
Requirements
- 5 years of proven experience in developing Tableau dashboards and analytics.
- Solid understanding of Tableau functionalities and features.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
- High-level competency in Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
- Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across all levels.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Cognos is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
