About the position

The Tableau Developer / Data Analytics Senior role at Elevance Health is a pivotal position responsible for coordinating and consolidating various impact analyses for management reporting. This role is designed to establish, improve, and optimize the processes involved in consolidating forecast and month-end results. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with time spent in the office, and should reside within 50 miles of one of the Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. In this role, you will be tasked with consolidating and preparing executive summary reports for various business segments within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), aimed at facilitating top management decision-making. You will develop requirements for data visualization based on business problem statements and create and publish periodic reports, along with any necessary ad hoc reports. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze data and summarize performance using summary statistical procedures. Additionally, you will design solutions to address complex business needs and may collaborate with both business and technical areas to implement new or enhanced products. As a central contact for internal departments and external auditors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the data and reports you provide are accurate and actionable. This position requires a strong understanding of the products and internal business models, as well as the data systems used within the organization. You will also be involved in coordinating with external audits as appropriate, making your role integral to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and prepare executive summary reports for various business segments in the SBU for top management decision-making.
  • Develop requirements for data visualization from business problem statements.
  • Create and publish periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze data and summarize performance using summary statistical procedures.
  • Design solutions to address varied and highly complex business needs.
  • Collaborate with businesses and technical areas to implement new or enhanced products.
  • Coordinate with external audits as appropriate.
  • Act as the central contact with internal departments and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Requires a BS/BA degree in Statistics, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Strong knowledge of products and internal business models and data systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of Tableau experience strongly preferred.
  • Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in SAS Programming preferred.
  • Healthcare Claims Data experience strongly preferred.
  • Database Management experience, including performance tuning, table/view creation experience desired.
  • Experience in Job Scheduling platforms (Control-M) desired.
  • Experience providing leadership in evaluating financial performance of complex organizations strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, organizational, planning, presentation and interpersonal skills strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and draw up plans to address issues/concerns strongly preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
