About the position

The Junior Tableau Developer will join the data visualization team at Sev1Tech, focusing on maintaining the business intelligence platform and supporting various business units in migrating legacy reports or creating new ones primarily in Tableau. The role involves designing and developing interactive dashboards to provide insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making, requiring a blend of technical skills, analytical abilities, and a strong grasp of data visualization best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
  • Integrate Tableau with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and performing necessary data transformations.
  • Conduct data analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring quick load times and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Support the maintenance of the Tableau BI platform, including user access management, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for developed Tableau dashboards, data models, and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau usage and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, and data analysis.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases.

Nice-to-haves

  • Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
