About the position

The Tableau Developer, Mid role involves analyzing business procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The position requires gathering and analyzing data, preparing recommendations for new systems, and producing meaningful reports and visualizations using Tableau. The developer will also manage data elements and participate in project analyses, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made based on thorough evaluations of project requirements and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business or operating procedures to devise efficient methods of accomplishing work.
• Plan studies of work problems and procedures, gathering and analyzing data.
• Organize and document findings of studies and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems or procedures.
• Collate information into meaningful reports and presentation materials.
• Perform data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities in reporting systems.
• Analyze project requirements, including program scheduling and resource determination.
• Participate in impact studies, cost and benefit analyses, and dependency models.
• Conduct root-cause and corrective action analysis.
• Produce visualizations to communicate findings using tables and charts.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with data in a professional environment
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization, including Tableau
• Knowledge of business analysis or business intelligence tools
• Ability to display a keen eye for detail and uncover trends in data
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Military, specifically U.S. Navy or U.S. Naval Aviation
• Experience with SQL, R, SAS, Python, or Tableau Prep
• Experience with data structures and systems in a DoD environment
• Ability to work collaboratively across different functional groups
• Master's degree
• Tableau Desktop Certification
