About the position

The Tableau Developer role is focused on leveraging Tableau to build complex dashboards, reports, and visualizations for large-scale Data Analytical Systems (DAS) or Business Intelligence (BI) projects. The position requires extensive experience in Tableau development, data integration, and advanced analytics, with a strong emphasis on collaboration within Agile teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build complex dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau.
  • Work on large-scale Data Analytical Systems (DAS) or BI projects.
  • Integrate multiple data sources including SQL, NoSQL, cloud data storage, and APIs into Tableau.
  • Administer and manage Tableau Server or Tableau Online, including deployment and user management.
  • Utilize ETL processes and tools to prepare data for Tableau.
  • Implement advanced Tableau features such as table calculations, LOD expressions, and statistical analysis.
  • Prepare and clean data using Tableau Prep.
  • Integrate machine learning models into Tableau for predictive analytics.
  • Develop custom solutions using Tableau extensions and JavaScript API.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams and apply Agile methodologies in project execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development.
  • Strong experience with large-scale Data Analytical Systems (DAS) or BI projects.
  • Proven track record of working with multiple data sources (SQL, NoSQL, cloud data storage, and APIs).
  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Online administration, deployment, and user management.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Alteryx).
  • Prior experience with advanced Tableau features such as table calculations, LOD expressions, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization frameworks such as Power BI, QlikView, or D3.js.
  • Experience with Tableau Prep for data preparation and cleaning.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics and automation.
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization Best Practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with machine learning models and integrating them into Tableau for predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
