About the position

HelioMetrics is seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that support healthcare analytics initiatives. The role involves collaborating with clients and stakeholders to create impactful data solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing dashboard performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, particularly in the healthcare industry, and will contribute to improving patient safety and operational efficiency through innovative analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports for healthcare analytics.
• Collaborate with clients, data analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Optimize and tune Tableau dashboards for performance and usability.
• Integrate healthcare data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Stay current with Tableau features and best practices, implementing new techniques as needed.
• Work with Tableau Extensions to add additional functionality to the dashboards.
• Participate in data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity.
• Perform root cause analysis on data to answer questions, troubleshoot and support the HelioMetrics solutions.
• Provide support and training to HelioMetrics Engagement Managers on Tableau functionality and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics or equivalent roles.
• Experience with one or more data visualization tools including Tableau.
• Experience updating and creating intuitive, user-friendly dashboard interfaces.
• Experience in the healthcare industry with healthcare data is strongly preferred.
• Experience in SQL and experience with database management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with statistical analysis packages like R is a plus.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing is a plus.
