BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Application Programmer V (Tableau Developer) for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and testing software solutions while collaborating with the development team and business partners. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in an agile environment. The ideal candidate should be able to deliver projects on time and without defects, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Tableau Developer will be tasked with the design and implementation of Tableau dashboards, performance tuning of reports and dashboards, and developing or modifying PL/SQL and SQL Views in Oracle. Additionally, the role involves creating new tables or modifying existing table structures, understanding performance tuning and explain plans, and applying normalization and star schema techniques. The developer will also be responsible for creating stored procedures, database triggers, and SQL queries, while working independently with minimal supervision. The position requires the ability to develop test cases and perform unit testing, as well as effective communication and coordination with a distributed team. The candidate should have a solid background in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Tableau, Cognos, and Mulesoft, with 5-7 years of relevant experience in SQL.
