About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Tableau Developer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX, and Atlanta, GA. This is a 12 + month contract position. The role involves providing dashboards and critical end-to-end production support of metric reporting routines. The successful candidate will be responsible for building or enhancing Tableau reports and dashboards, as well as creating ad hoc reports, refreshing data, and manipulating data across varied sources. This includes data mining, trending analysis, data aggregation, and key risk indicator reporting. The developer will also create SQL infrastructure to store required data and perform risk program metrics analysis, performance/milestone analytics, and success analytics to identify areas of discrepancy and possible at-risk controls. Collaboration with business partners is essential to design and build new reports based on their business requirements. The role requires consistent and timely delivery of report builds or modifications in the Tableau environment, as well as the timely delivery of reporting requirements using existing macros and code. Proactive identification of code or macro breaks is crucial, along with the successful application of macro/code fixes and creation. The developer must demonstrate the ability to translate users' needs into reports or dashboards and reliably apply advanced Excel and SQL skills to produce reporting efficiently. Effective prioritization of workbench deliverables and timely follow-up on reporting requests and questions are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dashboards and critical end to end production support of metric reporting routines

Requirements

  • 5 years' experience in Tableau dashboard creation/modification
  • 5 years' experience with moderate-to-advanced SQL skills
  • 5 years' experience with Excel
  • 5 years' experience in MicroStrategy or other reporting business intelligence tool
  • 6 years' experience in Analytics, with the ability to dissect, distill, and simplify data
  • 7 years' experience in Data mining
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to capture, manipulate, and clean data from multiple sources and systems of record
  • Ability to remain nimble and positive when priorities change and ad hoc needs arise
  • Strong collaboration skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree or certification in business data analytics or data visualization
  • Experience with Power Queries and Excel VBA (6+ months)
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry or financial institution
  • Previous interaction with senior level managers
  • Experience creating dashboard reports or analytics
