About the position

The Tableau/PowerBI Developer will design and implement interactive data presentation solutions tailored to meet complex business needs in the healthcare sector, particularly focusing on Medicaid programs. This role involves developing scalable, cloud-enabled dashboarding solutions while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with HIPAA standards. The developer will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, optimize existing dashboards, and integrate data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement interactive, user-friendly data presentation solutions for healthcare, particularly Medicaid programs.
• Develop and maintain scalable, cloud-enabled, data-intensive dashboarding solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through robust data validation, quality checks, and security protocols in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Participate in requirements gathering from diverse stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Implement complex calculations on healthcare claims data, focusing on data filtering logic and value-based care models.
• Optimize performance of existing dashboards and solutions to enhance user experience under large datasets.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases) and utilize cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for efficient data handling.
• Follow and enforce best practices in software development, including version control and CI/CD.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in developing data-driven analytics and reporting solutions using tools like RShiny, Tableau, or other advanced coding-based dashboard platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience analyzing healthcare data, particularly administrative claims data, and familiarity with Medicaid and value-based care models.
• Ability to gather detailed requirements from diverse stakeholders and translate them into dashboarding and reporting solutions.
• Experience integrating diverse data sources into scalable and cloud-enabled dashboarding solutions.
• Proficient in writing code in at least one programming language (e.g., R, Python, SQL) for building data solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Proven experience developing dashboards using RShiny or other advanced visualization platforms.
• Experience working in environments with strict data security standards, such as HIPAA.
• Expertise in software development tools and practices, including authoring CI/CD solutions using platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab.
• Demonstrated ability in optimizing performance of data-intensive processes and managing large datasets with cloud-based technologies like Azure Databricks or AWS.
