About the position

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer with a strong background in risk management and regulatory frameworks within the financial industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database and middleware technologies and possess advanced skills in business processes, systems, and tools used in the risk and controls environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and optimizing Tableau reports and dashboards to provide clear and actionable insights. You will work on report modeling to enhance data visualization and ensure that reports are both user-friendly and informative. Continuous improvement of existing Tableau reports for performance, usability, and accuracy will be a key focus. Additionally, you will apply your familiarity with risk management frameworks and industry standards to ensure that all reports and data analysis meet financial industry regulatory requirements. Collaborating with risk management teams will be essential to understand and address compliance issues through effective data reporting. Your expertise in database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server will be leveraged to manage, query, and analyze large datasets. You will also work with middleware technologies to integrate data from various sources into Tableau for comprehensive reporting. Utilizing advanced knowledge of business processes and tools, particularly PowerBI and Tableau, you will support the risk and controls environment and provide insights into system and tool optimization. Critical analysis and problem-solving skills will be necessary as you analyze complex business problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses. You will synthesize insights and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of business risk status and prioritizing risk remediation efforts based on the significance of the risks identified.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems using critical thinking and conceptual and interpretive skills.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, assess needs, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
  • Synthesize insights and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Communicate business risk status clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prioritize risk remediation efforts based on the significance of the risks identified and ensure appropriate follow-up.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in creating, optimizing, and modeling Tableau reports.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and middleware technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes, systems, and tools used in the risk and controls environment, with a focus on PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Ability to analyze, think critically, and solve complex problems through conceptual and interpretive analysis.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, synthesize insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in communicating business risk status to stakeholders and prioritizing remediation efforts.
