About the position

The Tableau Specialist role at SS&C involves designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and other BI solutions. This position is crucial for providing actionable insights to product management and senior leadership teams, requiring collaboration across various departments including Product, FP&A, Sales Operations, and Change Management. The role emphasizes data analysis, quality monitoring, and documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau and other BI solutions.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
• Develop ROI model for new product initiatives.
• Help develop and maintain data dictionary and other documentation for data models, processes, and reporting standards to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for all cross functional stakeholders needing timely and relevant data for their analyses.
• Monitor data quality and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in collaboration with data engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience as a BI Analyst or Business Operations Manager, with a track record of designing and delivering impactful reporting solutions.
• Experience working in a SaaS business.
• Expert level in using Tableau to create dashboards and visualizations.
• Expert level Excel and SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles.
• Strong data optimization skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
