About the position

Join a Leading Nationwide Events Company - Bar Crawl Nation! We're a nationwide events company seeking a top-notch Event Production Manager to lead our team of weekend warriors. You'll be responsible for creating the ultimate crawl experience for our guests and overseeing a team of event production professionals. Our events have food & drink themes, and typically attract 500-1000 participants to multiple bars & restaurants in a walkable neighborhood. Candidates must be based in Milwaukee, WI area. As an Event Production Manager, you will manage and train event staff, set up and take down equipment, and ensure event compliance with regulations. You will maintain positive relationships with vendors and communities, welcome 500+ guests, and educate them on how the event works. Additionally, you will help onboard customers to our event app and problem-solve any technical issues that may arise. This role requires excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced, alcohol-infused environments and be able to handle stress and solve problems quickly. The events you will be managing include the Tacos & Margs Crawl® on September 7th, 2024, Boo's Fest on November 2nd, 2024, and Santapalooza on December 14th, 2024. You will be required to attend a one-time paid training session of 2-3 hours, and you will need to allocate time for preparation leading up to each event. On the day of the event, you will work approximately 8.5 hours from 10:30 AM to 7 PM. This position offers a fun, fast-paced work environment where you can support local businesses and show customers a good time!

Requirements

  • 2+ years of event/hospitality/service management experience
  • Knowledge of the service industry
  • Ability to manage and motivate staff
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle stress and solve problems quickly
  • Comfortable in high volume, fast paced, alcohol-infused environments
  • Ability to learn technology and teach it to others (i.e. how to use an app)
  • 21+ years of age, or older
