About the position

The Tacos & Margs Crawl® Event Manager will oversee the production of themed bar crawl events in Boston, ensuring a memorable experience for participants. This part-time, contract role involves managing event staff, coordinating logistics, and maintaining compliance with regulations while fostering positive relationships with vendors and the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train event staff
• Set up and take down equipment
• Ensure event compliance with regulations
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and communities
• Use iPhone and credit card devices
• Welcome 500+ guests and educate them on how the event works
• Help onboard customers to our event app and problem solve any technical issues

Requirements

• 2+ years of event/hospitality/service management experience
• Knowledge of the service industry
• Ability to manage and motivate staff
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle stress and solve problems quickly
• Comfortable in high volume, fast paced, alcohol-infused environments
• Ability to learn technology and teach it to others (i.e. how to use an app)
• 21+ years of age, or older
