About the position

The Tactical Solutions Principal Test Engineer at BAE Systems is responsible for supporting test engineering tasks related to the development, qualification, and acceptance testing of advanced technologies such as low observable conformal antennas and electro-optical systems. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining effective working relationships within the organization to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support test engineering tasks associated with the development, qualification, and acceptance testing of technologies.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and across the company.
• Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 6 or more years of related experience in engineering or test engineering.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain a security clearance if required.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced computer application skills (e.g., Matlab, C, C++, IDL, STK, DOORS, Python).
• Experience executing RF or electro-optical programs from concept to post-delivery support.
• Experience with Test Engineering execution.
• Ability to coordinate activities of a diverse team and resolve disconnects.
• Excellent communication skills to understand customer needs and propose solutions.
