The TAEM Database Manager plays a crucial role in managing the shared database for the Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility (TAEM), which is part of a public-private partnership aimed at supporting families in overcoming economic challenges. This position involves training partners on the database, providing IT support, and assisting in the implementation of a state database. The role is essential for ensuring data integrity and facilitating effective collaboration among various stakeholders in the initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Manage TAEM's shared database (Salesforce), including maintenance and quality assurance.
  • Assist in building the shared database by identifying tracking needs and supporting the build and testing processes.
  • Train partners on the shared database, including onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Perform batch uploading to manage large data sets and maintain continuity between databases.
  • Monitor processes and features within the database, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
  • Provide IT support for users needing assistance with the database and state database implementation.
  • Stay updated on industry developments in security and software announcements, communicating changes as needed.
  • Maintain written policies and manuals related to database management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of related work experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal direction.
  • High level of detail and accuracy in work, maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data management and IT support roles.
