About the position

The Director of Product Regulatory Compliance at Toshiba America, Inc. is responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. This role involves developing and overseeing the Product Regulatory Compliance (PRC) program, collaborating with various internal teams, and managing compliance across the supply chain. The director will also conduct risk assessments, monitor regulatory changes, and provide training to enhance organizational awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and oversee the Product Regulatory Compliance (PRC) program and its control framework.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product design and composition comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Manage the environmental supply chain compliance component of PRC, including oversight of external platforms and resources.
  • Coordinate response to third-party audits and investigations.
  • Develop and refine internal processes and systems to strengthen PRC controls and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential PRC risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate PRC framework effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain expertise in PRC and build relationships with regulatory authorities and industry associations.
  • Monitor emerging laws, regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to products.
  • Communicate changes in product regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
  • Recommend action plans to address emerging risks.
  • Develop and coordinate delivery of PRC training to enhance organizational awareness.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in product regulatory compliance or related field.
  • Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and standards for product compliance.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
