About the position

The Talent Acquisition and Development Leader is responsible for managing the recruitment cycle at Heard, McElroy & Vestal, ensuring the sourcing of top talent and overseeing various talent management programs. This role involves collaboration with firm leaders to enhance recruitment strategies, maintain candidate relationships, and support employee engagement and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Firm's talent acquisition and recruiting process.
  • Develops effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community.
  • Manages on-campus recruiting strategies and events.
  • Builds a pipeline of candidates by maintaining contact with prior candidates and potential candidates.
  • Recruits full-time, part-time, remote, temporary, and intern personnel.
  • Develops clear understanding of job requirements by reviewing job descriptions with hiring managers.
  • Posts available positions and reviews candidates for minimum qualifications.
  • Conducts screening, testing, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Oversees the Firm's New Hire Orientation program.
  • Assists with creating a Leadership Academy program for interns.
  • Works with the HR Director to maintain effective programs for workforce engagement and retention.
  • Conducts training for Firm leaders on management techniques.
  • Leads or assists with other Firm or Human Resources projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting and/or Development.
  • Experience executing and supporting talent management programs.
  • Experience in sourcing through various channels including social media and networking.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and recruiting systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with employment law and regulations.
