About the position

The Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist is a temporary role focused on managing the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for EDC of Denver LLC. This position will cover the responsibilities of both the Talent Acquisition Specialist and the Director of HR during a leave of absence. The specialist will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees to build a diverse and qualified team that aligns with the organization's strategic hiring goals.

Responsibilities

  • Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events, and job fairs.
  • Actively work toward building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization.
  • Source candidates and fill in vacant positions within the company.
  • Understand strategic hiring goals of the business.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Using standardized screening techniques, assess the skills, qualifications, and experience of potential candidates.
  • Schedule interviews of candidates and hiring managers; coordinate team interviews.
  • Prepare candidates for interviews.
  • Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications.
  • Properly document recruiting actions and process steps in ATS.
  • Counsel candidates regarding salary, company benefits, and work environment.
  • Extend offers to successful candidates and manage salary negotiations.
  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Work with finance and executive leadership to determine appropriate compensation ranges for job postings and wage/salary offers to candidates.
  • Maintain HR files, ensuring compliance documents are collected, documented, and follow up occurs for any outliers.
  • Work in conjunction with Administrative Assistant and the Operations Manager to ensure effective onboarding.
  • Work with Admissions/HR Generalist to ensure timely enrollment of health benefits.
  • Meet with executive leadership to have a full-scale understanding of hiring needs and available positions within the company.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the role and key attributes required and developing job descriptions for new roles.
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation in all states that the company operates.
  • Prepare reports communicating key talent acquisition metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, marketing, provider relations, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role in HR required.
  • Previous experience seeking talent recruitment and assisting with onboarding processes required.
  • Experience working within the mental and behavioral health field strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in using company HRIS & ATS software to connect with and reach out to potential candidates.
  • Minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies.
