About the position

The Talent Acquisition Career Outreach Specialist at Ochsner Health System plays a crucial role in enhancing the recruitment efforts for Allied Health positions. This position is based in Meridian, Mississippi, and is responsible for managing both external and internal recruitment events. The specialist will take ownership of various recruitment activities, including presentations, career fairs, clinical rotation visits, open houses, campus tours, and national or local conferences. The goal is to foster and maintain strong relationships with key organizations, collegiate career services offices, and faculty members to create a robust talent pipeline for Ochsner Health. In addition to managing recruitment events, the specialist will conduct campus recruitment analysis to provide insights into recruitment activities and the collegiate talent market at local, regional, and national levels. This information will be shared with Ochsner leaders as needed. The role also involves collaborating with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team to ensure effective marketing and follow-up strategies are in place for recruitment initiatives. The specialist will also focus on diversity recruitment efforts, organizing events that support this initiative and maintaining relationships with diversity organizations. Administrative duties are a significant part of this role, including tracking inventory, managing event logistics, and maintaining budget spreadsheets. The specialist will also participate in employment branding campaigns aimed at attracting more talent to Ochsner Health, ensuring that the organization remains competitive in the healthcare job market.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Allied Health recruitment external/internal campus recruitment events such as presentations/lectures, career fairs, clinical rotation visits, open houses, campus tours, and national/local conferences.
  • Fosters and maintains meaningful, high-touch relationships with key organizations and their collegiate career services offices and faculty.
  • Provides campus recruitment analysis of recruitment activities and the collegiate talent market to Ochsner Leaders as requested.
  • Partners with the Ochsner Talent Sourcing Team for marketing and follow-up.
  • Ownership of Diversity recruitment external events to support diversity recruitment.
  • Individually assists with organizing, attending, and/or executing external clinical and non-clinical recruiting events.
  • Handles administrative duties including tracking inventory, Avature workflow, events spreadsheet, budget spreadsheets, and credit card receipts.
  • Participates in Employment Branding campaigns to attract more talent to Ochsner.

Requirements

  • Required: associate's degree.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree or higher education.
