About the position

Volt is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Coordinator / Onboarding Specialist to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time, onsite role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process for candidates across our 21 states. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily monitoring of all candidates during the background process, providing assistance and guidance throughout their journey. This position involves coordinating background checks and drug testing for both external and internal candidates, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. In addition to candidate support, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be tasked with documentation in Workday HRIS, maintaining accurate HR reporting, and conducting audits to ensure compliance with background checks and new hire documentation. This role is a temporary position for six months, with the possibility of extension, and offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience within a well-known company that frequently hires from our talent pool. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for those holding a bachelor's degree. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or onboarding, along with a limited knowledge of federal and state legislation regarding human resources practices and human resource management programs. This position is an excellent entry point for individuals looking to advance their careers in human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of all candidates during the background process and assisting them throughout the process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience, Talent Acquisition, or onboarding experience required.
  • Limited knowledge of federal and state legislation regarding human resources practices preferred.
  • Limited knowledge of human resource management programs and practices preferred.
