About the position

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator at Pegasus Steel Group is responsible for identifying, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates for various positions within the company. This role plays a crucial part in effectively recruiting personnel for the manufacturing facility while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The coordinator will also provide administrative support to the Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager and assist with maintaining the HRIS database.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, screen, interview, and place candidates for various positions within the company.
  • Effectively recruit personnel for the manufacturing facility.
  • Check candidates' references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
  • Screen candidates and select qualified individuals for the interviewing phase.
  • Arrange interviews including meeting locations, travel, and accommodations for applicants and recruiting managers when necessary.
  • Keep candidates informed about the status of their application and provide feedback on their interview performance.
  • Send initial emails to candidates with relevant information about the position and organization.
  • Follow up with clients or hiring managers after the interview process to determine placement outcomes and collect feedback.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal laws and statutes, including labor laws.
  • Maintain employment resumes, forms, and applicant flow logs.
  • Stay updated on HR-related materials through trade publications, seminars, and classes.
  • Assist with maintaining the Company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) database.
  • Effectively communicate HR programs, services, and information.
  • Assist with new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a recruiting or talent acquisition role.
  • 5 years of intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft software applications.
  • Effective and professional communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and attire.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Excellent math and administrative skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
