About the position

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Liaison to join our Human Resources team. This full-time position is based in Allentown, PA, and plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding experience for new hires. The Talent Acquisition Liaison is responsible for managing various steps in the post-offer employment process, ensuring that all conditions of employment are met, and facilitating a seamless transition for candidates into their new roles. In this role, you will assist new candidates in completing all necessary pre-boarding documents and navigating the onboarding process in a friendly and professional manner. You will ensure that all pre-boarding documents are completed thoroughly and within the stipulated timeframes, including references, pre-employment physicals, background screenings, and verifications of licensure or certification. Your attention to detail will be essential as you upload employment documentation into Workday and follow up with candidates on any missing information or additional steps needed during the pre-employment phase. Additionally, you will review the Employee Portion of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9) for completeness and complete the Employer Portion within the required timeframe. You will assist with the setup and check-in at new hire orientation, create name badges, and support recruiters in scheduling and screening applications as needed. Your role will also involve working closely with Compliance and Occupational Medicine teams to ensure new hire clearances are met. You will have the opportunity to coordinate events for career days, job fairs, open houses, and other recruitment activities, showcasing your organizational skills and ability to engage with potential candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist new candidates in completing all pre-boarding documents and navigating the onboarding process.
  • Ensure all pre-boarding documents are completed thoroughly and within SLUHN timeframes.
  • Upload appropriate employment documentation into Workday.
  • Follow up with candidates on missing information or additional steps needed during pre-employment.
  • Review the Employee Portion of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9) for completeness.
  • Complete the Employer Portion of Form I-9 within the required timeframe.
  • Assist with setup and check-in at new hire orientation and create name badges.
  • Assist recruiters in scheduling and/or screening applications when needed.
  • Work with candidates on scheduling pre-employment physicals and initiate the candidate pre-employment process in Workday.
  • Clear candidates to commence employment based on successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
  • Notify Talent Acquisition Specialist immediately if there are any issues with the pre-employment or onboarding processes.
  • Work in cooperation with Compliance and Occupational Medicine teams for new hire clearances.
  • Assist with coordinating events for various career days, job fairs, open houses, and other recruitment activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' administrative/clerical experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Prior human resources experience with emphasis in talent acquisition support strongly preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Workday or similar HR software.
