About the position

As the Manager of Talent Acquisition at Expedia Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our emerging talent programs across the EMEA, AMERS, and APAC regions. This position is not just about filling roles; it’s about creating opportunities for individuals to thrive in their careers while contributing to the overall success of our organization. You will lead a dedicated team focused on hiring talent for our emerging talent programs, which include internships, graduate programs, apprenticeships, and other entry pathways. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and executing a regional hiring strategy that aligns with our business goals and meets the evolving needs of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to managing the selection process. You will collaborate with local schools and organizations to attract top talent and build relationships with key external partners, such as apprenticeship providers. Your ability to influence stakeholders and provide valuable insights into the recruitment process will be essential. You will also work closely with our global programs team to ensure that our recruitment strategies are aligned with our overall talent strategy, while also recognizing and addressing regional nuances. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing team members, setting goals, and driving performance management. You will support the annual demand planning process and implement operational excellence within your team. Additionally, you will be involved in building and implementing sourcing strategies to meet current hiring demands and create a pipeline for future roles. As an ambassador for Expedia, you will articulate our values and culture to candidates, ensuring they have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process. Responsibilities

  • Ownership and delivery of regional hiring strategy for emerging talent programs.
  • Manage requisition processes in Workday and oversee the keep warm process for hires.
  • Collaborate with the E&O team on hiring process alignment with Global Talent Acquisition (GTA).
  • Act as a local point of contact for stakeholders, providing proactive information and answering questions.
  • Work with the ETC global programs team to align recruitment processes with program delivery.
  • Manage team members, including goal setting and performance management.
  • Support the annual demand planning process with the business.
  • Drive operational excellence and implement process improvements within the team.
  • Build and implement sourcing strategies to meet current and future hiring demands.
  • Recruit for a small number of roles, covering all aspects of the full-cycle recruiting process.
  • Build relationships with passive candidates and articulate the Expedia brand to attract emerging talent.
  • Maintain effective relationships with candidates throughout the recruiting process.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in managing or mentoring teams, preferably in emerging talent or early careers.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Familiarity with a highly matrixed organizational structure.
  • Experience in emerging talent recruitment, including interns, graduates, and apprentices.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders with value-added recruiting advice and insights.
  • Experience working in a global team is desired but not essential.
  • Capacity to understand business strategy and connect it to the emerging talent strategy.
  • Ability to anticipate future talent needs and build a pipeline of prospective talent.
  • Exceptional networking and candidate engagement skills.
