About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager II is a pivotal role within TD's Human Resources department, responsible for leading and managing a team of specialists dedicated to developing, designing, and delivering effective talent acquisition and diversity strategies specifically within the Risk, Compliance, and Audit sectors. This position acts as a subject matter expert, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that the recruitment processes align with the organization's goals and values. The manager will oversee a significant functional area, managing a diverse group of professionals while ensuring that the recruitment strategies are integrated with other business areas and the broader organization. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Manager II will be tasked with hiring top talent, setting performance goals, developing staff, and managing employee performance and compensation decisions. The manager will also be responsible for promoting teamwork and addressing any disciplinary actions as necessary. The position requires a deep understanding of the business practices and organizational disciplines, as well as knowledge of external competition and market trends relevant to talent acquisition. The focus will be on addressing short to medium-term issues, typically within a 6-12 month timeframe, while ensuring that the recruitment team builds targeted pipelines using various sourcing channels, including social media and referrals. The manager will actively manage a portfolio of searches, applying best-in-class sourcing strategies to create a robust talent pipeline. Collaboration with HR and business partners is essential to provide high-level consultation and customer service while implementing effective recruitment strategies. The role also involves developing and executing diversity sourcing strategies in conjunction with business leaders and other HR teams, ensuring that the recruitment process promotes TD's brand in the marketplace. The manager will leverage recruitment metrics and reporting tools to drive recruitment success and serve as a subject matter expert on talent acquisition practices, keeping abreast of current industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of recruitment specialists to develop effective talent acquisition strategies.
  • Set performance goals and manage employee performance and compensation decisions.
  • Promote teamwork and handle disciplinary actions as required.
  • Manage business relationships at the executive and senior executive levels.
  • Ensure an integrated approach with other business areas and the broader organization.
  • Develop and execute diversity sourcing strategies in conjunction with business leaders and HR teams.
  • Build targeted pipelines using various sourcing channels, including social media and referrals.
  • Actively manage a portfolio of searches and apply best sourcing strategies to build a robust talent pipeline.
  • Provide high-level consultation and customer service to HR and business partners.
  • Drive recruitment success by leveraging and managing recruitment metrics and reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of related experience in talent acquisition or human resources.
  • 4+ years of experience managing multiple exempt level employees preferred.
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of recruiting and employment practices, including federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong understanding of benefit programs and compensation principles related to Total Compensation Philosophy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strong business partnerships with client groups.
  • Experience sourcing and closing niche positions and understanding full life cycle recruiting.
  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and applicant tracking tools.
