About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Michigan Medicine is responsible for leading and managing the Talent Acquisition team, developing innovative recruiting strategies, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. This role involves overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and fostering a collaborative work environment to attract top talent while adhering to best practices and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Ensure team members are effectively trained and supported in their roles.
  • Lead the selection process for new Talent Acquisition Consultants and Recruitment and Sourcing Specialists as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies.
  • Align recruiting strategies with Michigan Medicine's goals to ensure a high-quality and diverse workforce.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment trends and metrics to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Handle a requisition load, primarily of senior leadership positions or other high-profile openings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on hiring best practices.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through effective communication and a seamless recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as schools, professional organizations, and recruitment firms.
  • Represent Michigan Medicine at recruitment events, job fairs, and industry conferences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the Talent Acquisition process and implement innovative solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
