About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for Social Impact, focusing on both domestic and international positions. This role involves collaborating with the People & Culture team to enhance operations and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) within the organization. The TAM will supervise other talent acquisition staff and report directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, ensuring effective recruitment strategies and processes are implemented across various projects and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment on select high-value or priority proposals, HQ positions, and projects.
  • Source, create, and post job descriptions, schedule and participate in interviews, lead debrief sessions, check references, and extend equitable offers.
  • Craft staffing strategies creatively and guide project teams and hiring managers on recruitment processes and DEI&B aspects.
  • Lead staffing and personnel written inputs, tailoring to the technical approach and ensuring candidates are highlighted appropriately.
  • Work closely with project teams to conduct sourcing or full-cycle recruitment for consultant or full-time positions.
  • Maintain and develop candidate pipelines for future needs, creatively sourcing passive candidates.
  • Advise on talent acquisition and staffing strategies to ensure equity and high-quality staffing practices.
  • Lead select talent acquisition initiatives and support the development of the P&C Division workplan and goals.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Diversity Outreach Strategy to increase diversity in the candidate pool.
  • Participate in and lead bi-monthly Talent Acquisition Team meetings to share insights and best practices.
  • Support data collection and analysis of TA metrics and work on process improvements as needed.
  • Supervise Talent Acquisition team members, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Maintain relationships with TA vendors and research new vendors as necessary.
  • Participate in candidate care and outreach initiatives to improve SI's candidate networks and recognition.
  • Support external initiatives to market SI as an employer of choice and represent SI at conferences and events.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and three years of experience in talent acquisition and full-cycle recruitment in the international development sector, or a Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proactive skills in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise team members, fostering a supportive environment for professional development.
  • Excellent proficiency in using online Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Taleo.
  • Experience in creative sourcing approaches for diverse candidates.
  • Strong professionalism and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven ability to craft tailored staffing approaches and personnel sections for proposals.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience managing recruitment requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and attention to detail.
