About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Mountain Valley Express (MVE) is responsible for leading the talent acquisition process, managing candidates through all stages of the interview and hiring process. This role involves collaborating with HR leadership and business stakeholders to define position requirements, develop recruiting strategies, and ensure the company attracts and retains top talent. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in recruiting, particularly in the LTL, trucking, and warehousing industries, and will be adept at building relationships with various organizations to source quality candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruiting process including obtaining approvals and determining advertising strategies.
  • Develop effective working relationships with company management to identify employment needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruiting agencies, universities, and other organizations.
  • Recruit active and passive candidates by sourcing and maintaining candidate pipelines.
  • Perform full cycle recruiting to support staffing at all levels.
  • Interview applicants to evaluate alignment with position requirements.
  • Consult with leaders in the selection and hiring process to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) ensuring data integrity.
  • Measure and assess recruiting outcomes and maintain metrics for the HR dashboard.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for recruitment.
  • Ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • 7+ years of recruiting/talent acquisition experience, with 5 years in the LTL, trucking, and/or warehousing industries.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging presentations and manage multiple priorities.
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software and HRIS.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, selection, training, compensation, and benefits procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience sourcing commercial drivers.
