About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Wake County will oversee centralized talent acquisition services, leading a team of seven professionals. The position is primarily remote, requiring the manager to collaborate on strategic initiatives across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement transformative talent acquisition practices and programs.
  • Strategize and implement innovative approaches to marketing, sourcing, and candidate relations.
  • Manage staffing policies and practices, ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations.
  • Oversee the recruitment process from requisition through onboarding, including reporting and vendor management.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives across departments, including Workforce Planning and Succession Planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • Five years of experience directly related to the role, including at least two years of supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six or more years of current, progressive experience managing recruiting in a government setting.
  • Extensive experience with applicant tracking systems (both user and administrator).
  • Ability to design creative programs to attract talent to Wake County.
  • Strong marketing and sales skills.
