About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for creating and leading recruitment processes for employment, hiring, and onboarding at Ivy Tech Community College. This role involves collaborating with various internal and external resources to attract diverse and talented candidates, while also assisting with statewide recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the creation and implementation of effective recruitment strategies and processes in coordination with the VP for Human Resources.
  • Oversees the hiring process for Systems Office positions.
  • Works with external search firms and recruiters to fill positions and manages relationships with these partners.
  • Assists hiring managers in scheduling and managing the interview process for Systems Office openings.
  • Manages the candidate sort and screen process in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Works with the HR systems team to manage the employment recruitment and applicant tracking sites, including data analysis and system training.
  • Creates and manages recruiting and interviewing tools and delivers training as appropriate.
  • Manages the onboarding process for newly hired employees in collaboration with Talent Development.
  • Maintains the College's recruitment presence on social media in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Leads statewide recruitment strategies focusing on difficult-to-fill positions in collaboration with HR leadership.
  • Collaborates with the Diversity, Equity, and Belonging team to increase diversity in candidate pools.
  • Develops and sends weekly communications to Systems Office employees regarding new hires and posted positions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or higher) required.
  • Minimum of one year of professional employment recruitment experience.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook).
  • Workday HCM experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity of students and employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social media recruitment strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
