About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the talent acquisition processes and strategies for the organization. This role includes directing the onboarding process for new hires and managing the temporary labor workforce, ensuring that the company attracts and retains top talent effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the full spectrum of recruiting and selection activities in the most cost-effective means for all positions.
  • Manages other talent and staffing personnel.
  • Coordinates the posting of open positions through internal postings, internet, employment agencies, recruiters, and affirmative action required agencies.
  • Reviews resumes and screens candidates to ensure required qualifications are met.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews with the hiring manager.
  • Identifies and partners with external providers, as required, to ensure hiring needs are met.
  • Designs, plans, and executes employer branding activities.
  • Plans procedures and processes for enhancing the overall candidate experience.
  • Administers required testing of potential candidates to include criminal background checks, drug screens, physicals, and aptitude/skills testing.
  • Coordinates and conducts new employee orientation.
  • Acts as the liaison to outside staffing agencies and universities.
  • Represents the company at career fairs and other community events.
  • Maintains applicant tracking in compliance with affirmative action regulations.
  • Maintains monthly and annual reporting and compliance of the company's Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Recruits for and manages the company's internship program.
  • Assists HR Director with compliance and HR law modifications.
  • Processes employment verifications.
  • Assists in organizing the company's special events.
  • Maintains employment files and records per company policy and legal regulations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of medical information, compensation, and all other employee personal information.
  • Understands compliance and proper interpretation of various state and federal regulations/laws.

Requirements

  • Four year degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in recruiting.
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action regulations.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact well with employees, candidates, vendors, and co-workers, demonstrating flexibility as well as a can-do attitude when faced with challenging situations.
