Merrick & Company is seeking a dynamic and visionary Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and develop their talent acquisition team. This role focuses on crafting innovative talent acquisition strategies, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful recruitment of top talent. The ideal candidate will have a passion for team leadership and a strong background in workforce analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Analyze market trends and workforce data to anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Establish a budget for the talent acquisition function and ensure expenditures align with the plan.
  • Create and communicate a clear vision for the talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Implement best practices for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand their talent needs.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for talent acquisition efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and promote the company's employer brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on managerial roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in recruiting systems and platforms, particularly iCIMS.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an engineering or technical recruitment environment.
  • Experience working for a government contractor and knowledge of OFCCP compliance.
  • Self-starter adept at navigating ambiguity.
