About the position

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Northwestern Mutual's Downtown San Diego office is responsible for overseeing all recruiting efforts aimed at attracting, recruiting, and onboarding financial advisors. This role requires a strong understanding of the recruitment process, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. The position is focused on achieving recruitment goals and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Executing office recruiting plan to reach activity and productivity goals
• Sourcing talent for the financial advisor role
• Calendaring initial interviews and subsequent interviews for candidates
• Leveraging social media, job postings, and referrals to grow the firm
• Working collaboratively with full-time recruiters to onboard new talent
• Assisting candidates in all onboarding and training
• Preparing recruiting materials for interviews
• Participating in all firm-wide leadership meetings and development workshops
• Learning and gaining an understanding of the financial advisor role
• Engaging in company-sponsored designations and conferences for skill development
• Joining national study groups to learn from high-performing recruiters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of work experience in a professional environment
• Experience in recruiting, sales, or business development
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for talent acquisition and onboarding
